After a yearlong stay in UAE, filled with the formidable presence of the desert – its vastness and relentlessness ever present, my son and I headed to Tbilisi for a weekend getaway. From the first moment our senses were overwhelmed with the contrasts and contradictions. An explosion of colours, smells, tastes and sounds. Incredibly expressive street scrapes with multitudes of forms and textures on every facade, revealing their story, their glory and pain, their beauty and scars. With every step we took a new story unfolded. We dived into the endless shades of green and red, yellow and blue, and completely surrendered to the rhythm of the street and to the sounds of the people passing by. No stone was left unturned, no corner unexplored.

Couple of days later I found out I was pregnant. What followed was an avalanche of feelings, a carousel of emotions. A new chapter, a new life, and a cherished memory of the time we managed to steal just for us.
